Pandemic and inmediacy in five questions

Abstract

In this article the authors address immediacy by emphasizing the over-dimensioned conception attributed to this principle, which has been in creased nowadays by the imperative need to conduct oral trials through virtual platforms. In this framework, it is intended to relocate said principle in its rightful place in the rational system of evidentiary assessment and to expose its interrelation with the other structural pillars of the model; analyzing, in addition, its link with direct evidence and the requirement of reasoned judgment, to lastly account for its compatibility with the procedures that the pandemic has inescapably imposed on us.
