Journal of Judicial Studies, Issues 1 and 2

Abstract

This article presents the second and third issues of the Journal of Judicial Studies, highlighting the Institute of Judicial Studies’ aim to establish itself as a leading forum for debate on the organization and functions of the judiciary. The publication is part of a broader strategy for academic dissemination and discussion, focused on the generation and critical review of legal knowledge in judicial matters, guided by principles of pluralism, openness to debate, and the constant re-examination of arguments.

The Journal is aimed at a broad audience, including judges, academics, legal professionals, and other stakeholders interested in issues related to the justice system. In terms of content, it is structured into three main sections: an introductory section featuring interviews with key figures on judicial organization; a second section with doctrinal studies and jurisprudential analyses on topics such as the role of higher courts, family and children’s law, and fundamental rights; and a third section dedicated to critical book reviews of recent works in the field of the judiciary.

Overall, the publication aims to serve as an informed and critical forum for discussion on public issues related to the judicial system.
