Abstract

We intent to describe the current status of the legal protection or saje guards regarding the freedom of labor unions, provided by the sanction of unloyal or antiunion practices. In arder to do so, we will briefly examine the validity of fteedom of labor unions in Chile from a legal perspective and its factual and statistical concordance or correspondence with the actual development of trade union activity (enclosed to the private sector), and, in that context, furthermore explain the extension of the compliance of judicial jurisprudence regarding legal complaints and law suits motivated by antitrade union practices
